Got a question?

Here are some of the questions we hear most often. Can't find what you're looking for? Get in touch โ†’

NDIS & Funding
What funding can I use for RisingOT services? +
RisingOT works with NDIS, TAC, DVA, and private clients. If you're an NDIS participant, our services can be claimed under Capacity Building or Improved Daily Living supports, depending on your plan and goals.
Do I need a referral to access RisingOT? +
No formal referral is required. NDIS participants, families, support coordinators, and allied health professionals can all contact us directly. We're happy to discuss whether our services are the right fit before getting started.
How much do your services cost? +
For NDIS participants, our rates are aligned with the NDIS Price Guide. For TAC, DVA, and private clients, please get in touch and we'll provide a quote based on your individual needs.
What to expect from OT
What happens in a first OT appointment? +
Our first session is all about getting to know you โ€” your goals, daily routines, strengths, and challenges. There's no pressure to have everything figured out. We'll work together to understand what matters most and what support would be most helpful.
What does neurodiversity-affirming OT mean? +
It means we start from a place of respect โ€” recognising that every person thinks, communicates, and experiences the world differently. Rather than trying to change who you are, we focus on building on your strengths and finding strategies that work for your unique needs. We support autistic individuals, those with ADHD, and others with neurodivergent profiles across all ages.
Do you offer services in Cantonese? +
Yes โ€” Winnie speaks Cantonese and is able to conduct sessions and communicate with families in Cantonese. We understand how important it is to receive care in a language that feels comfortable and safe.
Referral process
How do I refer a client to RisingOT? +
You can submit a referral using our online referral form on this page, or contact us directly by email or phone. We aim to get back to you within 2 business days.
How long is the waitlist? +
We currently have a short waitlist. We know how important timely access to OT is โ€” especially in regional areas โ€” and we do our best to see clients as promptly as possible. Get in touch to find out current availability.
Services & conditions
Do you support autistic children and teens? +
Yes โ€” we work with autistic children, teenagers, and adults using a neurodiversity-affirming approach. This includes support with daily living skills, sensory processing, functional capacity assessments, and assistive technology across Northern and Western Melbourne.
Do you provide ADHD occupational therapy in Melbourne? +
Yes โ€” we support individuals with ADHD across paediatric to adult populations in Melbourne and Regional Victoria. Our approach focuses on practical strategies for daily living, organisation, routines, and participation in meaningful activities.
Where do you provide services? +
We are a mobile service covering Northern and Western Melbourne โ€” including suburbs such as Sunbury, Melton, Werribee, Broadmeadows, Essendon, and surrounds โ€” and are actively expanding into Regional Victoria. Sessions are conducted in your home, school, community, or another location that suits you.
